Today I was told about a major blessing that I was given, details spared I really needed it. When you give to others you feel good, like you haven't wasted your time, especially when the person shows their appreciation. The bible says in Deuteronomy 15:10 "You shall surely give him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him: because that for this thing the LORD your God shall bless you in all your works, and in all that you put your hand to." Bless to be blessed is the idea that the bible puts before the servants of the Lord Christ Jehovah Jireh-The Lord who provides. Give without fear of loss in your house hold, GOD will provide for those who provide for others. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:27 "Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it." But, it must be warned that giving to gain satisfaction from another person is not the thing the bible is instructing us to do. The Bible says in Matthew 6:1 "Take heed that you do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise you have no reward of your Father which is in heaven." So perhaps this is a confusing message today. Give not to satisfy your needs but to satisfy another's, and rest assured that Jehovah Jireh will satisfy your needs beyond your own imagination. Also be aware that the person you bless may need you more than anyone else in the world, and you can be the answer to their weeping prayers. The Bible Says in Hebrews 13:1-2 "Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." Now hospitality in this verse does not necessarily mean inviting them into your home, unless that is the blessing you are moved to provide. A meal when you have no food can be the biggest blessing in the world. It means being kind to them, and helping those who need it most, without expecting in return. Now, do all blessings require giving something of value? The answer is no, sometimes what the person who needs the blessing, or you feel is in need of the blessing can only need a hug, or a complement. Sometimes the smallest blessing to you can mean the world to someone else. The Bible says in Acts 20:35 "I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." Some may wonder "How can it be more blessed to give then receive?" or even "What does me giving my stuff away that I worked for do for me?". Both questions are irrelevant, GOD does not bless you and ask how does this benefit me, GOD simply does so because He is in the position to do so. But, to answer your question the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 9:6 "But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully." See Bless to be Blessed! The concept is extraordinary, you can give, and receive in giving from GOD. However, it is important to remember not to only help those who do good to you but also those who do bad by you. The Bible says in Matthew 5:42-45 "Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which spitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." A powerful word, bless those who curse you, the idea seems insane, you hurt me so I love you? But, this concept is not meant to be easy to achieve. It will never be easy to see an enemy in struggle and extend your hand to say I am here. But when you do, you may close a door with an enemy, and open one with a friendship. Giving to someone can be done in anyway, and is always appreciated; Whether the person is stubborn and wont accept it right away out of foolish pride, or they take it without question knowing that you want to bless them. You may find that you will gain the most satisfaction from Jehovah Jireh when you give to someone with out them knowing it was you, or that it was even done.A mystery donation to a church, paying the rent for a loved one who is in the struggle, helping a sleeping homeless person by putting some money or food in his hand/pocket. These blessings are only examples, but giving without reason, or responsibility, will show those blessed that they are not alone and that god is watching over them. When having trouble finding the will to give to another remember what Jehovah Elohim-The Lord our Creator gave to us, the Bible says in John 3:16 "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life."
